A different way of living
This is a series of images taken in a local squat that had previously been part of an off license chain. Collective pooling of resources - food, utensils, furniture etc - give an insight into how an alternative way of living may come about. No people are shown here - only the space they occupy. A strong sense of social responsibility is evidenced by the degree of recycling that takes place in the dwelling. There are, of course, many thousands of homeless people in the UK and London in particular and this kind of living is often forced on to people by expensive rents and property prices.
